Jazzworks – Long Beach is the dance company of choreographer Andy Vaca, a choreographer dedicated to preserving jazz dance as a viable concert dance form and who is currently the Chair of Dance at California State University, Long Beach.  Previously, Jazzworks – Long Beach has performed as a part of the Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival in Palm Desert, the So-Cal Dance Invitational, and in concert with Nanette Brodie Dance Theatre.  The dancers of Jazzworks—Long Beach are all graduates of CSU Long Beach, and are dance teachers, studio owners, bartenders, and college professors across the Southland.  Believing that dance should be a part of everyone’s lives, Jazzworks director Vaca regularly teaches dance to the patrons of the

LA Music Center as a part of their Active Arts program.
